I work regularly with Zoom and facetime to offer supervision remotely during this period of response to the virus . Several supervisees prefer to work in this way, as it offers them more flexibility in terms of time and travel. Interestingly the concept of the "self-supervisor " is made concrete as we view the person in front of us and ourselves at the same time!
Supervision is a requirement of ethical practice as a counsellor or therapist, but It is also a wonderful opportunity to develop reflective practice, to gain clarity, to receive support and to discuss the development of client relationships.
I have many years of counselling experience, in several different contexts, including: life-threatening illness, education, Employee Assistance programmes and private practice. I have worked in both short and long term relationships with a wide range of clients from different cultures, religions, age groups and belief systems
I work in a person-centred way fundamentally and my approach is also informed by systemic practice, by some transpersonal training and by a current interest in mindfulness and neuroscience. I seek to provide a safe and supportive space for counsellors to process their client relationship issues and to facilitate the growth of the practitioner. I welcome trainees and experienced practitioners.
To enhance my supervision practice I have completed a Diploma in Person-centred supervision course at Metanoia Institute in Ealing, West London.
My fee for a one hour supervision session is £60 and for one and a half hours the fee is negotiable. I have spaces available monthly or fortnightly on Thursdays from 9 am to 6 pm.
